Ok, new user here. What are dyes used for, and what do the different colours signify?

They are just for decorations.

dyes do nothing except turn your armor or items different colors

the different colors make no difference except that some are more rare than others therfore the prices will be higher for those

dyes are used to change the colour of ur armor it gives no bonus the prices can vary from 200gp to over 5k for blacks
